SO … what’s the game plan ?
So what's the game plan?
Well into the 2nd week of February it is time for the big game, for some, that phrase means “Super Bowl”, and while I guess I am looking forward to the concert that is in the middle of a football game, lol, I'm actually talking about the big game that I will be learning, playing and executing this year.
A couple of weeks ago I was listening to Anthony Trucks on the Growth Day App and he talked about planning and setting up your year to win, that's actually what the title of the episode was “How to Win the Year with Anthony Trucks' . I'll write more on the episode later but the overall concept was to look at the months of the year and apply them to the stages of a football (or any game).
I tell you what, this was an eye opening concept for me, I have spent years frustrated with the feeling of rush to “start right away come Jan 1”. This concept allowed me to see that 1. I am not alone in this feeling of January overwhelm but 2. It's okay to take the time to get set … isn't that the saying,
“On your mark, Get set, Go!” ?
So the game plan is simple really.
January's been all about “Getting on my mark” and “Getting set”, now it has come to a close. February is 2 weeks in with warm weather, Valentines Day and the Super Bowl right around the corner, and I am off to a start. It's been a bit rough but not bad. It was in the ebb and flow of actualizing the routines and habits I had set in place, that I found the normalcy and free time to do more of what I actually love. The lack of rush has provided the consistency and variability needed in my schedule and routine to not allow complacency or old triggers to catch me up.
This year is all about 3 things
1. Building my Family
2.Building Myself
3.Building my Future
February and March are all about execution, refinement, community, and consistency. I am so excited for this I can barely contain myself. This isn't going to be an easy journey. But it is one that I am determined to take.
Stay turned, there are some big things coming. I will be diving into and sharing all the gory details on how I am learning to put my family first, how I am learning to love all of myself, and how I am building my salon business and brand to inspire others to live the life they have dreamed about all by grace or by grit ♡
